miller syncrowave 351
« on: February 08, 2012, 05:21:28 AM »

Just bought a  Miller Syncrowave 351.   Looks like a arc and tig welder. Does anyone know much about it. It has a cooler mounted behind it.

The cooler is for the tig torch to help keep it cool during high amp or long cycles. Did you pick this up locally Fred? It is a very cool tool for sure.

Got it down south. Also picked up a 2 tube benders (electric and a manual) with metal dies for metal pipe and plastic dies for alum pipe, mig welder, Edwards 65 ton ironworker, Horz band saw, tourches, drill presses, sand blasters, metal bender, bench grinders, and 3 - 16' truck load of other stuff that we are sill going through. Making another trip this weekend to get another load of shop stuff.

Going into the fab business at work. Can't wait to test the stuff out on a Jeep bumper.

Also got a plasma, engine puller, 8500 watt generator and a 16' trailer with ramps wide enough to fit the jeep in the deal.

Any cheap electricians out there to wire this stuff up?

Least you knew the brand, I have not even looked at it yet. Is Baileigh a good machine?

When I get it all here, you need to come over and look at it.

The iron worker, tubing bender and saw will be here next week. I'm excited. Our shop is 12,000 sqf/ft so we should have plenty of room. Thinking about talking to our old shop foreman (welder/fitter) and  offering him a commission on work that we get in until we get going. Since he's not working, it might work out good for everybody.  This would be aux steel stuff. Not sure what we are going to use the pipe bender for yet.

No, the place looks bare, 12,000 sq ft is a lot of space to fill up. Here are some better pictures along with Justin's first fab on his Ranger Bumper.
